All tourism organisations have had to ‘move with the times’ and keep up with the developments in technology which have occurred in the last 20 years or so. Imagine a major attraction without a website or a large hotel without an online booking system. This was the case 20 years ago.
Young people today are probably more ‘tech savvy’ than the older generation.
Imagine that one of your aunts, uncles or other relatives have just bought a derelict building they are going to develop into a hotel and conference centre. The complex will have 45 bedrooms, three large and five small conference rooms with a restaurant and bar. Because of the pleasant surroundings, it will be possible to hold weddings at the venue as well.
You have been asked how the new venue can make the most of modern technology and social media. Obviously, there will be a website, but what else would you suggest?
